Our Physical Therapists each have over 19 years of experience practicing as pain and movement specialists. Our therapists are trained to evaluate, treat, and support you in your rehabilitation, and provide ongoing education about the your symptoms and how to manage them. 

Samantha Strickland, PT, MPT, CLT, COMT

Samantha Strickland, PT, MPT, CLT, COMT

Sam is a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She worked at a local hospital for 11 years performing therapy in the inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings. Sam and Rita opened Ultimate Therapy in 2008 with a desire to provide quality one on one patient care.


Sam is a certified lymphedema therapist, a certified orthopedic manual therapist,  SFMA certified (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), certified  Current Concepts in Joint Replacements, BoneFit certified for osteoporosis  and has advanced training in movement patterns, movement dysfunction and dynamic neuromuscular stabilization.  Sam is a lifelong learner who continues to advance her skills through continuing education. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.


Outside of work Sam enjoys playing softball, going to the gym, cycling, traveling and being outdoors. 

Wendy Stepura, PT

Wendy is a licensed Physical Therapist with over 25 years of experience.  She moved to St. Mary’s County after completing her degree at the University of Hartford.  She has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, skilled nursing, home health and outpatient PT.  She is SFMA certified (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), BoneFit (osteoporosis) certified, and certified in Current Concepts in Joint Replacements.  Wendy likes to take a whole body approach to treatment and has special interest in osteoporosis and hypermobility syndromes. 


Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends whether it be on the side of a mountain hiking or skiing, or on the water paddle boarding or jet skiing.

Danielle LeClerc, PT

 Dani is a licensed Physical Therapist with over 30 yrs of experience. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree at the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1993. She travelled the US for 7 years working in a variety of settings and returned to settle back in her home town in Calvert County. Her focus is orthopedics but she also enjoys working with patients with balance and vertigo deficits.


In her spare time she enjoys running, cycling and Rving with her spouse and 4 dogs.


Jennifer Mattei, PT

Jennifer is a licensed Physical Therapist. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a Master of Physical Therapy in 1999. Her experience has been in outpatient settings and she enjoys treating people of all ages. Jennifer is certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessments, certified in Current Concepts in Joint Replacements, BoneFit certified for osteoporosis and has training in running assessments to identify and correct gait abnormalities.

Teresa Clark, MPT, OCS, CSCS, COMT

Teresa is a licensed Physical Therapist with over 28 years of experience. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in physiology from the University of California at Davis. She received her Master’s degree in physical therapy from Samuel Merritt College. Her research was published in the peer reviewed journal “Physical Therapy” and received the APTA award for student research. She is LSVT BIG certified, an evidence based treatment approach for people with Parkinson’s disease. She received advanced physical therapy training and certifications in orthopedics, strength and conditioning, Pilates, and manual therapy. 

Ashley Norman, PTA

Ashley is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Maryland. She graduated top of her class from Butler County Community College located in Butler, PA. Certified in Current Concepts in Joint Replacements. Some of Ashley's hobbies include scrapbooking, hiking and competing in triathalons. She is committed to promoting a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle and helping others to achieve their personal goals.

Joshua Elsbree, PTA

Joshua Elsbree is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Maryland. He recently graduated from the physical therapist assistant program at College of Southern Maryland in 2019. He has a passion for working with people and enjoys serving those in the clinic and community. Joshua is Champion Performance Specialist and BoneFit certified. 


Outside of the clinic Josh enjoys going to the gym, spending time with family, and exploring new hobbies.
