FAQ's

Got a question? We’re here to help.
  • Do you treat my type of cancer?

Yes.  Your oncologist is taking care of controlling your cancer, we are skilled at restoring your physical side effects to get you back to your life.

  • What body parts do you treat for lymphedema?

The most common areas we typically see are arms, trunk, legs and  neck.

  • How often will I need to have therapy?

This will really depend on your condition.  We try to figure out the least number of times per week while still being beneficial.  On average we will see you 2 times a week but again this will depend on your specific needs.   You will be involved in the decision making process to meet your needs.

  • How many times will I need to come?

It will really depend on your symptoms.  On average 8 visits.  You will be involved in the decision making process every step of the way.

  • How long are the appointments?

A typical treatment will last 45-60 minutes.

  • Do I need a doctor's order to come to therapy?

In the state of Maryland we are an open access state, meaning you are able to see a Physical Therapist without a doctor's order. Many insurances including Medicare do not require a doctor’s order as well. When we verify your benefits we will know if you need one or not. You can also call the number on the back of your card for clarification.
