FIRST VISIT

If you are receiving treatment for vertigo, you will receive your first vertigo treatment on the day of your first visit. Individuals being seen for balance will receive a comprehensive assessment and individualized plan that will serve as a guide towards personal health and fitness goals.

MOVING FORWARD

Typically vertigo can be assessed and resolved within 1-3 visits. Other balance disorders may require 1-3 months of Physical Therapy. Every visit we will provide you with the perfect challenge to get you steady on your feet.

  • How soon can I be seen to treat my vertigo?

    Give our office a call today, we typically try to treat vertigo patiets as quickly as possible, sometimes that same day.

  • Are special tests needed before seeing a Physical Therapist for vertigo?

    No special tests are required prior to physical therapy. Our specialists are trained to identify and treat vertigo.

  • How many visits will I need?

    Typically vertigo can be assessed and resolved in just 1-3 visits. Other balance disorders may require 1-3 months of physical therapy.

  • Does insurance cover treatment for vertigo and balance problems?

    Insurance covers treatment for vertigo and balance. Always contact your insurance company before beginning physical therapy to verify your benefits.

  • Do I need a doctor's order to come to therapy?

     In the state of Maryland we are an open access state, meaning you are able to see a Physical Therapist without a doctor's order. Many insurances including Medicare do not require a doctor’s order as well. When we verify your benefits we will know if you need one or not. You can also call the number on the back of your card for clarification.
