Frequently Asked Questions
  • What should I bring to my first therapy appointment?

Be sure to arrive 20 min early to complete new patient paperwork. Bring your insurance card, photo ID, script or referral if provided by doctor and a list of medications if you are taking any.

  • What should I wear to my therapy appointments?

Wear loose fitting clothing that is easy to move around in and wear comfortable shoes. Gym attire is also appropriate.

  • How long will my physical therapy appointment last?

Physical therapy appointments  typically last 45 to 60 minutes.

  • Will the therapist be treating several other patients at the same time as me?

No. You will have one-to-one time with your therapist.

It is typical for therapy clinics to schedule 2-3 patients to work with the same therapist at the same time.

At Ultimate Therapy, we buck the industry standard to deliver more personalized care to our patients.

  • What insurance companies do you participate with?

We are able to accept most major commercial insurance plans, including Medicare and TRICARE. We see many patients whose care is paid by motor vehicle accident and workman's compensation claims.

If we do not participate with your insurance, you can use your insurance plan's out of network options.

We also have cash options available.

  • What will my Physical Therapy Treatment session cost me?

Your out of pocket cost per treatment will depend on your co-pay, co-insurance and deductible as deemed by your individual insurance company. We do not set this fee, this is determined by your insurance company. You can call the number on the back of your card if you have questions prior to your first appointment.

  • Do I need a doctor's order to come to therapy?

In the state of Maryland we are an open access state, meaning you are able to see a Physical Therapist without a doctor's order. Many insurances including Medicare do not require a doctor’s order as well. When we verify your benefits we will know if you need one or not. You can also call the number on the back of your card for clarification.

  • Do you offer massages?

Yes, we have a licensed massage therapist.
