Physical Therapy Clinic in Leonardtown

Our story began when Rita and I met during  orientation at my first physical therapy job. Rita was  starting her clinical rotation for Physical Therapy Assistant school with the same employer. One year later, there was an opening and I highly recommended Rita.  Rita was hired and we worked together for the next 9 years.  

 Over the years Rita kept asking,  "Why don't you open your own clinic?"   I was in my 10th year as a therapist and was considering making a change. I became frustrated at the direction our healthcare system was heading and wanted people to get the treatment they deserved.  In 2007 when Rita approached me again about opening my own clinic I said to her, "Are you going to open it with me?" She said. "Okay!" and we got the ball rolling.                     

 2007 was busy and scary as we prepared to open the business. We had feelings of uncertainty and  doubts about leaving  our secure jobs with  steady paychecks and benefits.  Out of all the uncertainty and sleepless nights, one thing remained clear, we wanted to provide Southern Maryland with high quality one-to-one care.  We had a passion for getting to the root cause and looking at the whole person instead of just treating the symptoms.   In 2008, after a year of planning and no money for a fancy marketing campaign, we opened our doors building our practice on word of mouth. 

 Over the past 10 years, the business has exceeded our expectations and  we have enjoyed building  lasting relationships with our patients.  We have gradually added 7 highly-skilled licensed therapists and 3 hard-working, friendly, front desk staff.  As it was in 2007, health care continues to change as insurance companies keep charging more and paying for less. Despite these challenges, we continue to be committed to providing high quality individualized one-to-one care. We  are proud to take care of our Southern Maryland community and are excited to deliver the "Ultimate Therapy".
